Creative Scotland, the new national development body for the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland, was launched on 1 July 2010.
The Chair of Creative Scotland is Sir Sandy Crombie. The other Board members are Robin MacPherson, Gwilym Gibbons, Gary West, Ruth Wishart, Steve Grimmond, Barclay Price, Gayle McPherson and Peter Cabrelli.
Creative Scotland Executive team
Andrew Dixon is the Chief Executive with Venu Dhupa, Iain Munro and Caroline Parkinson as Directors of Creative Development. They will lead Creative Scotland’s development of the cultural sector and will take responsibility for Creative Scotland’s investment and partnership in the arts, screen and creative industries.
In addition, our Director of Finance and Operations is Alyson Hagan; our Director of Communications and External Relations is Morag Arnot and our Head of HR is Karen Lannigan.
Creative Scotland took over the functions and resources of Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council but also has a wider set of responsibilities for developing the sector.
