Following a review of the Creative Scotland Awards, the Scottish Arts Council suspended the awards for 2007/08. The Scottish Parliament is now considering a Creative Scotland Bill to establish a new organisation, which will be called Creative Scotland, which will inherit the functions and resources of both the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen. While the new organisation is being established, the Creative Scotland Awards remain under review. The Scottish Arts Council intends to report on the review in the autumn. In the meantime, opportunities to recognise and support talent and outstanding creative ideas will be considered within the overall development for the new organisation. |
